$USGT Nevada's climate is sunny and dry, with wide variation in daily temperatures. The normal daily temperature at Reno is 49°F (9°C), ranging from 32°F (0°C) in January to 69°F (21°C) in July. The all-time high, 125°F (52°C), was set at Laughlin on 29 June 1994; the record low, –50°F (–46°C), at San Jacinto on 8 January 1937. Nevada’s temperature from November through May is ideal for geological work programs.
