I think Newman is very uncertain about how high the ramp goes. But like you he regards it as temporary.

Newman is very good at big picture stuff, but he cannot equal the turnips for very short-term forecasting.

My own GUESS is that when a major reversal does develop it will be for no apparent reason. These "news" related bounces are just hiccups on the way down IMHO.
