So if there are no market makers, then how are these numbers showing up on regsho?

This can't be from unsettled trades because you need a market maker to have unsettled trades. You only have unsettled trades when MM immediately sells an order before he actually buys. Then he settles latter. On the greys I thought trades, buys and sells, must match for the trade to happen - no MM, no unsettled trades, right? Then what are the regsho numbers?
