Tickets for the Vancouver Canucks' first four home games in the shortened National Hockey League season go on sale Tuesday.

The team will release 1,000 seats for each of the four matches on its website at 2 p.m. PT. The cheapest ticket is $64.

The games on offer are against the Anaheim Ducks Saturday, the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday, the Calgary Flames on Jan. 23 and the Colorado Avalanche Jan. 30.

Still, fans like Chatelaine Premack don't like their chances of getting one.

“I'd say 15 per cent, because they're so hard to get a hold of and even though the NHL lockout has caused a lot of fans to be upset, I mean I'm sure people are going to be coming to the games. Rogers Arena has been sold out for many years,” Premack said.
Sold out since 2002

The team has sold out every home game since 2002, and management doesn't expect that to change with only 24 home games this season.

“You know, we're very fortunate to have such tremendous fans and the demand for a number of years now has been incredible,” said Canucks Chief Operating Officer Victor de Bonis.

The team says it has 17,000 season ticket holders.

Ticket re-sellers estimate up to 25 per cent of season tickets holders sell their tickets to casual fans each game.

A contract dispute between team owners and the players’ union delayed the start of the season by nearly four months until an agreement was struck last week .. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/nhl/story/2013/01/12/sp-nhl-nhlpa-lockout-cba-ratification.html .
