Mlsoft -- are you saying that the PPT swooped into the market to buy for a few minutes, but then gave up? It seems to me that if the PPT were to act, it would be with sustained buying pressure that caused shorts to cover/longs to add by taking out resistance thus becoming a self-fulfilling mission. PPT-uing a 30 point rise in the Dow only to allow it to fade within 15 minutes seems like a waste of PPT money to me. And if they are so all powerful (and they probably are), they probably have a better plan than that, don't you think?

So why was that PPT buying rather than anything else?
