Koikaze....

You are right, we disagree - and that is ok, part of the American experience.

"I don't like being manipulated. I don't like being lied to. I don't like being misled. To say that we, the American people, are being gulled is to understate the case."

I do agree with you about disinformation, lies and spin. Where we part company is that I believe that although both sides are guilty of it, I think far more comes from the left than from the administration. I see no credible evidence whatsoever that we are after Iraq's oil, and without that evidence I believe the left is doing a great disservice to our country.

"When I see my nation send an army to find a man, within a week of an atrocious event attributed to that man, I think, "That's odd. One doesn't send an army to find a man." When I see that army turn to face a different foe, I think, "Wait a minute. What the hell's going on here?""

That makes no sense at all. 09/11 was not yesterday - it has been 18 months and in the meantime we did a fair amount of work in Afghanistan, if you remember and many of our troops are still there. You are stretching quite a bit to come up with that connection.

We will continue to disagree on this I am sure. I do hope that when all this is over and one side or the other is proven wrong, that those who have been in error will be big enough to admit their mistakes. I am not talking about you personally, but to the administration on my side (and I will join them) and all the left wingers on your side.
