Those are good points but one must wonder why the greed suddenly showed up. Why was there not greed last year to drive productivity?

Also the ease of gold is the same today as December 20th of 2011.

You are very right about the variables but I tend to dismiss what cannot be known and judge people and companies on what they do. For that reason I only have history to judge the future.
