... sometimes, luck is better than skill ...

Friday, I sold a March S&P @ 824.50 on the phone through my futures broker ... but, because I have been wanting to try trading on-line with the same firm, when I decided to cover, I placed a market order to cover on-line as the price rallied back just below my short entry.

However, the on-line system malfunctioned, and my trade was never executed, leaving me short over the weekend.

This morning arrived with the futures price for the SP almost the same as my entry price ... so I called my broker, told him what had happened, and left my short position as is/was ...

... I covered the trade at 814.50 a little while ago ...

I would have been out of that trade about even on Friday, and since I don't trade the S&Ps that often, I probably would not have gone short again this morning.

Also covered my 3 DX March short positions that I sold at 100.00, just bought them back at 97.80 ... still short a March ND from 958.50 though ... although even that is looking better.

... great way to start the week!!! ...
