Yep, 3Q12 TSMC revenues from 28 nm were less than $700M. Apples budget for iPhone processors was over $5B. Based on shipping capacity foundry 28 nm is barely at the beginning of the beginning. Regardless -- no shortage of FINFET buzz, 10 nm buzz, no shortage of vaporware.

Hard to say with top end utilization in the mud but what did Intel ship "at" 22 nm in 3Q12? $6 or 7B?
