RMDG RMD Entertainment Group Formally Inks European Distribution Agreement With Pickwick Group
Market Wire - October 25, 2005 8:08 AM (EDT)
PHILADELPHIA, PA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Oct 25, 2005 -- RMD Entertainment Group (OTC: RMDG) announced today that they have done their legal due diligence and officially signed the pending distribution agreement with the Pickwick Group of London, England -- project release dates are expected to begin in January 2006. Pickwick Group, a major player in music and DVD distribution, will manufacture, promote and distribute RMD's music catalogue exclusively in the European Market to complement the North American distribution agreement with Bungalo Records and Universal Music Group.
While a landmark step for the budding entertainment company as a whole, RMD once again has taken a global step forward by securing maximum exposure for the artists under their umbrella. Hip-hop legend Heavy D and revered up-and-comer Roc Monee will be the first to utilize this relationship as their highly anticipated records (due early 2006) span the Atlantic and penetrate European markets untapped by most North American artists. Between Pickwick and Bungalo/Universal, RMD is making good on their plan to strategically meld hip-hop and Wall Street as they continue to make crucial inroads to that highly sought after 16-24-year-old demographic, globally.
RMD CEO Giorgio Costonis had this to say, "Based on our rapid acceptance by international 'power' distributors like Pickwick, it is more than encouraging knowing that our projects are being embraced globally. While we have only just begun to scratch the surface in the overall entertainment community, we are confident that we are well ahead of the curve with regard to maximum market penetration, at home and abroad."
Dom Rapello, label manager for Pickwick Group, stated, "RMD's hip-hop catalogue is rapidly developing into a veritable 'who's who' across the board. With artists like Heavy D and Roc Monee, we anticipate nothing short of success in 2006 and beyond."
