Vegas Man, I can see an IPP using the futures market to hedge against fluctuations in supply prices, that's normal and prudent. But if, as the article states, RRI was actually trying to boost its bottom line through futures speculation, (as opposed to sticking to their business), then I would have serious doubts about management and/or the company's prospects -- my rationale being that somebody with some serious power in that company is either stupid or desperate or both. JMDO.
