I'll go on record saying that sylvester should stay.

Of course he irritates a lot of people, including us lefties, but you may ignore him if you wish. If you do not ignore him, but rather reply, he is encouraged to post more.

Freedom of speech does not mean that only reasonable people may speak, or only those who post rational arguments are to be tolerated. The idealogue, the self-absorbed, and yes - the bigot - all have a right to their say. Some criticize syl because of his anti-Bush agenda, others because of his stance on Israel, others because he makes half the total posts on this thread. I say let him vent and just ignore him if you so dislike what he has to say.
