Jay and Steve stated under oath that they did not have a report on the value of the emeralds. Jay also stated that he did not think the emeralds came from an old shipwreck.
Personally, I think with all the experts that Jay claimed looked at the emeralds, that it would be pretty dumb for someone not to WANT TO KNOW what they were worth.
Jay also admitted in a newspaper article that four boxes of emeralds that he hid in Key West from the New York investors were worthless. Guess what ??? Only Four Boxes of emeralds were brought into Court by Steve and Jay and Jay stated under oath that those 4 boxes were all the emeralds that they had.
Personally, I think more questions then answers came out of the court case and it isn't over yet.
