I think you "nailed" it. I believe at least 90% of the problems that housing and banking has experienced over the last few years can be traced directly to Barney Frank and his fellow nimrods. This is a bunch of morons who have never run anything in their lives but their gums and most everything they have involved themselves with has turned into a huge pile of crap. A couple of years before everything fell apart a friend of mine, who owned a mortgage company/agency in the 90's and early 2000's, warned me and several others what he feared was just beyond the horizon. He could smell the rat long before it finally appeared.
