He has "that" experience from an "incident" when he was 12 and his "13" year old friend died of a self inflicted gun shot wound to the face while playing with a group of "friends" "parent's" 9 MM pistol. I liked this kid, I knew him well enough to have introduced him to my son. Damn my daddy "knows all the ladies" past. He was a great kid and that is all i am gonna say about that but my son wants to hunt only. His buddy lives on a ranch and they hunt. we have ranches and that is the way of the ranch, hunt or shoot poachers and coyotes on your ranch lol. I prefer knocking over trees with the front end loader while drinking beer personally. Though there was that "1" time in college when we were driving home(in this same town albeit!) when a beer induced convoy of 4 cars hit a big buck. I was the lead driver and we all got out and tracked it down. I felt bad, and wanted to end it's misery. I pulled out my car keys and was prepared to insert them into it's throat when all of a sudden, the group elected that we should grab it's rack and break it's neck. Well let me tell you, i think it took 8 guys to turn it's neck at least 540 degrees to finally kill it. We loaded it up and took it home. We dressed him right on the driveway. Man there were an unimaginable amount of flies on the driveway for a solid month as a result of that. lol. anywho, we did the dieed and someone says we need to call the game warden and report this. Live and learn isn't just an expression, that guy showed up and, lol, well you can imagine what he said...he took 90% of the meat and we ate venison for almost a month as we didn't have a freezer...lol. But back to the issue of the AR 15. I guess it would have been easier to kill the deer with an assault, er, tactical weapon....a 16 y/o with an ar 15? that is the question. how many licks does it take to get to the center of a.....lol
