I don't disagree. However, if iPad sales drop but mini iPad sales make up for that loss of revenue, that's not a winning strategy. In other words, they've not added value, they've only shifted it around. That's what I'm concerned with but we'll have to wait and see if that ends up being the case.

Additionally, responding to the language of your post, adding a mini iPad isn't diversifying their products - it's in the same line of products (tablets). I do understand the point you're trying to get across, though.
