As I see it, the "us" will be ponying up their "fair share" and in doing so the country will succeed. Heheh!
In helping out with demand by providing jobs, etc. American Business will follow with all the widgets that those new jobholders need and everyone will live "happily everafter" or until the next crisis. I like to refer to this situation as a "trickle up" economy, as the old "trickle down" one has failed.
