Intel couldn't afford it.


Market cap is $17B, and market premium would be huge. Might require about $30B or so to buy it outright. Intel doesn't have that in cash, but they could probably raise the capital. Would make the McAfee take-over seem minor, and it would take 30-40 years to make it back in revenues. It would be a horrible investment.
