t d j, Not too long ago vinyl sales were in the Billions and CD sales were only in the Millions, today vinyl sales are almost nonexistant, cd sales are in a steady decline, meanwhile downloads are increasing at a feverous rate, now if you were going to place your product (music) into distribution, are you going to place it on vinyl, a very unpopular format, CD, a format whos popularity is in steady decline and which has a limiting distribution, or are you going to want to place it in a quickly expanding distribution format, a format that is available world wide, infact in every there is a computer and internet connection, the instant that the work is released, even better, a distribution format that opens up a whole other world of unlimited potential and additional benefits to the artist, the publisher, as well as the enduser.

I know this, if Im the artist, I want the widest, most accepted, most flexible, fastest, and least cumbersome distribution that I can get, and everyday the download is becoming more and more that solution.
