ok this is a reply from IR at lhgs. States pretty much the same thing Steve Ross said.
Thanks for your message regarding Longhai Steel. This message is not for the discussion of Longhai's corporate strategy, it is only for the purpose of responding to investor’s general inquiries.
Some of your questions are related to the recent resignations of several board members. As we have filed in the 8K, none of these board members has any disagreement with the company. Their resignations are solely based on their personal reasons.
Other questions are related to 10Q of third quarter ending Sep 30, 2012 we filed with SEC on November 14th, 2012. As many of you have learned in the newspaper, TV or other public sources, Chinese economy is experiencing significant challenges as export and domestic investments slow down dramatically because of weak global economy. In addition, the steel industry has been particularly hard hit due to the governmental tighten on real estate market and delay or cancellation of many infrastructure projects. As a result, we must focus on further improving operating efficiencies and reducing expenses to weather through the worst recession in steel industry over the past 10 years. We will continue to evaluate opportunities in the capital market and take appropriate actions as we see fit to maximize shareholder values.
Thanks for your interests in Longhai Steel.
Best regards,
Dongni Han
