Notwithstanding the prior failures, the fact that three Big Pharma have committed substantial money to these programs (e.g. #msg-81212052) and have released data this week ought to be reason enough for some renewed discussion on this board. For AMGN in particular, the PCSK9 program could amount to a bet-the-company wager.
