I'm not Mormon but have friends who are. Las Vegas doesn't usually suffer from major catastrophes, but it could. We've had very minor earthquakes, and an inch of rain in an hour or two really causes problems. I haven't made any effort (I'm a very elderly male bachelor) but I could survive two weeks on what is in my cupboards now. Even if I lost electricity and therefore refrigerated food. Lots of canned foods of various types plus dried package foods plus at least ten gallons of water. I'd survive. Without any help from Reid or The Great Divider.
