The rumor is true! Cono Italiano Inc. is selling their pizza cones and empanadas in ShopRite stores.The products are presently being offered in their hot food sections where the consumer can purchase food for a snack and lunch. Product can be purchased individually or by the pound, prepared to be consumed at home. The flavors for the empanadas include Jalapeno, beef, chicken pizza and ham and cheese; the pizza cone is our traditional Margherita cone. CEO Mitchell Brown states, "We have been offering thes e products to ShopRite since June of 2012, our initial store located in Nutley New Jersey and is one of the chain's largest grossing stores. They have endured enormous success. Based on this success we have begun selling to other stores in the chain and anticipate adding additional locations in the fourth quarter and through 2013."
Being afforded this opportunity to sell our products to ShopRite will open the door for Cono Italiano Inc. to offer these products in ShopRite's frozen food sections in our newly designed retail packaging.
