Retail Stocks Struggle

This morning, many of the leading retail stocks are struggling to catch a bid higher on the session. The popular and highly followed Market Vectors Retail ETF (NYSEARCA:RTH) is trading trading lower by 0.10 cents to $44.73 a share. Short term traders should watch for intra-day support around the $44.30, and 43.85 levels. The daily chart of the RTH is now testing the important 50-day moving average which is followed by almost all traders and investors.

Some leading retail stocks that. are declining lower today include The Home Depot Inc (NYSE:HD), Wal-Mart Stores Inc (NYSE:WMT), Family Dollar Stores Inc (NYSE:FDO), and the TJX Companies Inc (NYSE:TJX) to name a few. Many retail stocks are now nearing oversold levels, however, each of these stocks should be viewed on an individual basis. This is also earnings season so please check when any stock is scheduled to report earnings before trading.
