Sure they can sell it. Gold's run north is not even close to over. Obama and Romney with both spend the US into fiscal oblivion, and quantitative ease to infinity, sending gold higher no matter what. The bull run on gold has only begun. It is in Ron Lowenthal's best interest to wait.

The game is not over, despite the persistence of certain individuals to convince others to write off their shares for tax purposes.
