jd-- I doubt any state has a rosey out look at this time. They all committed $$ they no longer have arriving in the state coffers. None want to lay anyone off either. I'll be taking an early retirement this summer and will be able to live wherever. All I'm certain of is OH or PA is preferred but if any little thing agitates,, the cost of living in Mexico is low and preferrable to the hot as hell areas of southern US. All the mfg jobs and many tech jobs have left the US for less expensive areas-- why not retirees? It seems logical one could live very well there on $50K or so a year. HHMMmmm-- I know I'll visit Mexico next fall/winter! As long as there is a phone line & ISP one should be able to make more than it costs to live with little effort... maybe even play their mkt too.
