good question-- in a basing pattern, one that has accumulation you'll note that the volatility starts to rise-- followed by periods of sharp selling. If you have a cast-iron gut I'd recommend (2x)ATR-- if not, your standard 5-8% or (1x)ATR stop will do ... just be careful not to get whipsawed by the volatility.
