I construct and maintain several large databases (i.e. several terabytes each) all by my lonesome for a very large government department...so, yes, it can be done. In fact it happens all the time...the only time the word S-E-Q-U-E-L was spelled out to communitcate SQL (structured query language) was vogue back in the 1970s. Nobody in the data analysis community today uses that terminology...we pronounce it "sequel"or "ess-queue-ell" but always spell it SQL. This suggests to me that some critics may have SQL experience from the 1970s and are basing their opinions on antiquated computer processing abilities. There are so many self-tutoring programming books that anybody can learn to code now. So teams of SW developers just aren't necessary anymore. Also, it is quite possible for MS Access when linked to MS SQL Server can link to Cloud computing. When I was suggesting MS Access I was merely indicating that there are a myriad of database applications the MIT1000 and MIT1500 can use for database needs.
