Asked and answered.

Our vulnerabilities are being exposed on prime time TV for the world to see. The world is getting an object lesson in how to take out Apaches and Abrams and hide from Spectres and etc etc etc. The world is learning just how limited our war-making technology really is.

This disaster is equivalent to arming our potential future adversaries: now they know we bleed just as easily as everyone else.
