After nine ranked teams, including FSU, lost, the Top 25 looks mighty different.

When the dust settled after what ended up being the most interesting weekend of the college football season, Alabama and Oregon stood atop the heap while the rest of the college football landscape dramatically changed.

Nine ranked teams lost for the first time since Oct. 18, 2008, which gave rise to new powers such as South Carolina, which landed at No. 3, Florida, which moved up six spots to No. 4, and West Virginia, which moved up three spots to No. 5.

Ah, chaos.

And as to the grandfathered for preseason rankings,

USC was ranked #1 not an SEC team.
