Im glad to see you posting some of this speculation because it sure makes alot of sense, and could lend explanation to why these markets are so strong at this critical level despite what FA we have available to us..

Set those stops on the shorts and put some buy stops in on the long side and just watch I guess.. I imagine today could be a deciding day technically?
