The number of shares in an individual transaction is typically a few hundred to a few thousand, although occasionally there are larger lots sold.

Is this a significant amount for multi-millionaires?

The term multi-millionaire is sort of anachronistic insofar as it doesn’t exclude many people in corporate management these days; however, I think it’s fair to say that some of MNTA’s insiders are not enormously wealthy.

Is it worth tipping off outsiders for this amount of money?

What is the downside for insiders if some investors buy shares on account of such inferences? Unless it ends up scuttling a deal—which seems highly unlikely—I don’t see any downside.
