Notice of Application by Green Dot Bank for Purchase of Certain Assets and Assumption of Certain Liabilities of Synovus Bank related to Green Dot Corporation's General Purpose Reloadable Card Program

Green Dot Bank, Provo, Utah intends to apply to the Federal Reserve Board for permission to purchase certain assets and assume certain liabilities of Synovus Bank, Columbus, Georgia that are specifically related to Green Dot's general purpose reloadable card program. Green Dot Bank, which serves customers of its preloaded debit card nationally, also provides general banking services in the Provo, Utah, local market under the name Bonneville Bank.
The Federal Reserve considers a number of factors in deciding whether to approve the application, including the record of performance of applicant banks in helping to meet local credit needs.

You are invited to submit comments in writing on this application to the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, P.O. Box 7702, San Francisco, CA 94120-7702. The comment period will not end before September 27, 2012. The Board's procedures for processing applications may be found at 12 C.F.R. Part 262.
