I think McConnell shot himself in the foot early on with that oft-quoted "number one goal is to defeat Obama". I understood what he meant--but is was unnecesary.

That debate question on the 10 to 1 ratio for spending cuts to taxes whre all said no. Boneheaded answer.

But it does not change my feelings that the United States as it is now of ten years ago will not be able to survive another 4 years. I am viscerally opposed to big government.
