Note to reporters: There is nothing intrinsically noble about keeping your sources' secrets. Your job, in fact, is to expose them.

Lets drill down the note to Bob Novak who leaked the story to begin with.

If you've been had by the leaker to discredit the facts then it is your duty as a reporter to identify the source.

Sadly Miller imo at least played by the rules and Novak is to stupid to figure out he was used to begin with.
