The benchmarks I have seen seem to be consistently worse. Moreover, the higher speed bins of Turion seem to be "rare as hens teeth" (tm Th'inq). In terms of power dissipation and battery life, Centrino seems to have a small advantage over the ML, while the Turion-MT is fairly competitive. Overall, it's possible to design very solid laptops around Turion, but I don't expect AMD to be able to provide the volumes of MT parts to be competitive (that's why they have an ML line, instead of moving everything over to MT). When Intel launches Yonah, Turion is going to look pretty lame. Even the "Taylor" dual core Turion part is going to have a tough time looking good. Overall, I see Intel continuing to exceed on the mobile front, provided they can solve their chipset capacity problems.
