Bush is adopting Saddam's preemptive strike strategy. When Saddam took over in the late 70's he went into the Iraqi General Assembly and shot representatives that he thought might betray him in the future. Bush has copied Saddam and wants to eradicate Saddam ( a good thing IMO) by a preemptive strike. Unfortunately Bush does not know how many innocents have to die and I don't think it has crossed his compassionate conservative mind to consider the cost. After all Saddam did try to kill his daddy.
