arizona1 -- and if they get to proof of concept/routinely working at 1,024 pixels, megapixels will not be far behind -- the ability to create flexible materials with that many nanostructure electrodes to the retina, as well as the sort of the ~1", i.e. roughly eye/retina-sized, ten-plus megapixel sensors already routine in the higher-end digital cameras, basically already exists -- and the rate of progress, in terms of both the materials sciences and the nanoscale production capabilities, that is ongoing at this point is phenomenal
