Just got hold of the German PC-Welt 10/2005, page 150 :

Title :

Pentium 4 out
Pentium M in

Commented beside a picture of the P4-Socket : "Using the Asus CT-479 adapter, you can get rid of your power-hungry P4 and replace it with a Pentium M."

The adapter costs ca. 40 Euros.

So, the poor customer has already bought a P4-Mobo, and a P4-cpu.
If he wants to reduce energy consumption and noise, he pays another 40 Euros for an adapter and then a pricy Pentium M CPU.

Is this the state of the art technology I ask ?

Maybe the highly paid Intel management should spend more on CPU-design rather than Advert-Design !

BTW:
Don't give me "RoadMaps" again !
They change almost every time AMD launches a new CPU batch !
wink
