Well it does mean something...if your day trading and not in for the long run, this could be a signal for a bearish reversal, in the morning you should look for a gap down as well as downward trending, this will confirm a bearish reversal. If it starts trading sideways or up then the point made earlier regarding the engulfing candlestick becomes a moot point and has no meaning.
