You do understand that being selected to present at a meeting ISN'T a guarantee of success or even of quality data, don't you? Do you even understand the submission process or what an abstract is? An abstract is a short summary provided by the authors. The experiments and protocols AREN'T described in any kind of detail, NOR are the figures and tables that buttress the data provided. The meeting organizers aren't judging it by the quality of the data or the rigor of the conclusions as it isn't a peer-review process. No, the organizers look at the short summary and decide if the topic is on sufficient interest to merit inclusion.
