did you know that bids are buys? not sure if you are confused or if you are just trying to confuse others, but to me it makes no sense. please clarify

if someone is shorting then that means that someone else is betting against them. and that's why they call it a market.

I have a question...what would happen to the 3 million shorts if someone bought Synacor, like a complete takeover/buyout...does anyone know how that part gets handled ???
