In a perfect world or if this were a Christian nation, my answer would be yes. For most of the history of our country (and in many other parts of the world) that has been the case and my personal preference is that it would be illegal.

However the world is not perfect, nor do we live in a Christian or even a God fearing nation - at one time, I think we did base our values as a nation on biblical principals, but sadly that is no longer the case. Experience teaches us that morality cannot be legislated except when the vast majority are in agreement that a certain behavior is unacceptable, and that is certainly not the case for homosexuality at the present time.

Based on that, I would be against such laws as unenforceable.
