why can't a company run one appropriately powered trial rather than tons of under powered trials if they knew the trials were under powered?

Thanks for your examples, jq1234. To answer your above question above, I can't. I don't believe the answer is an intent to deceive, but I can't prove it. Maybe somebody else who reads this board has a reasonable answer.
