Discussing GWB's 2 tax cuts in a vacuum is probably not relevant to how we got to where we are today...tax cuts were issued WHILE GWB was borrowing from China to keep the cost of 2 wars off the books; add to that, tax cuts were in effect WHILE an unfunded prescrip drug bill was passed.
Although a discussion of tax cuts in relation to gov't collections before/after 9/11 is interesting, unless we take into account gov't spending at the same time, tax cuts in/of themselves are irrelevant to how we got to where we are today.
