The members of the Scam Team remind me of Johnny Cochran during the OJ Simpson Trial. The goal being to try to divert attention from the main issue. In the OJ trial, the prosecution showed evidence that both victim’s blood was in OJ’s Bronco. There was also other evidence which should have been conclusive, however Cochran kept bringing up as many things as possible to create doubt, and to divert attention from the things they knew for sure. When enough doubt is created, the %’s seem to weigh in favor of doubt, when all one needs is one piece of evidence to prove the case of the prosecution, and nothing else matters. i.e., there was blood in the Bronco from both victims.
Now let’s look at what evidence seals the verdict for Rim, HelloSoft. For any investor, the points that matter most at this stage are:
1) Does Rim have a viable, competitive technology.
2) Can they market it well, and will companies buy it.
We can only answer the first one at this time, and the evidence is conclusive that the verdict is YES.
HelloSoft is a legitimate company with some stellar people on their BOD, one of which is Vinod Dham, who is considered the father of the Pentium processor. The president of HS stated last March, and the General Manager reiterated his statement at the shareholders meeting in July. And I quote: “The offset QAM algorithm inside Embarq™ is absolutely at the leading edge of any transport processor in the world,” states Krishna Yarlagadda, President of HelloSoft (www.hellosoft.com). HelloSoft, which currently employs 130 people, has recently dedicated a team of experienced hardware, software and management engineers both in San Jose, California and in its development center in Hyderabad, India to the commercialization of Embarq™. This staff has completed its review of the hardware, software and competitive position and has concluded that the Embarq™ family of transport processors has unique features and benefits that set it apart from the competition that will allow it to offer very significant advantages to the world’s telecommunications carriers. The most significant advantage of the technology is the ability to reach farther and faster on a single pair of unshielded twisted pair copper with a higher data throughput than the announced VDSL, VDSL2, ADSL, ADSL2, and ADSL2+ products from New Visual’s competitors. This is achieved because the underlying technologies that reside inside the Embarq™ processor are unique and very powerful. “These elegant and accurate OQAM processes, combined with a powerful data modulator and demodulator, yields performance results that are better than we have seen from any other company”, stated Mr. Yarlagadda.
They have no credibility problem, but the Scam Team (The Johnny Cochrans of IHUB and RB) tries to discredit HS by way of “guilt by association” and past perceived and actual failures of NV.
Further evidence requires a touch of logic. HS recently completed a $16 mil funding package, yet some would have us believe that they would join in the scam for a measly $490,000 and some “worthless” stock. Coupled to this is their standing in the chip world having stated that they have in their hot little hands, the tech that “ is absolutely at the leading edge of any transport processor in the world”…..

Now if they have this tech in their hot little hands and can’t produce an FPGA, and one that performs exceedingly well, then who will the industry say has failed. HelloSoft. Consequently they have absolutely no motivation at all to be involved in a scam, and huge reasons not to be.
Let’s face it. Embarq exists. Embarq can be a viable competitor in the market place, and HelloSoft says it will be done by the end of December 2005.
Anyone who calls this a scam can’t read the signs, as I mentioned in an earlier post, and amazingly believes one of two things, or both.
1) HelloSoft’s BOD would allow their president and general manager to lie (even after I have given ample evidence that they have no reason to)
2) That he or she knows more about the capabilities of Embarq than HelloSoft, who has had it in their possession for 11 months.
Scam Team: You can argue all you want about the merits of Rim and it’s leadership, that is one issue, but if you try to rest your case on Embarq being a scam, you will continue to look very foolish. Your insistence on Rim’s past issues to prove that the tech does not exist makes you sound just like Johnny trying to use arguments for one issue to distract people from the facts on another issue. Alos, and anyone who can’t see the truth will appear to think like the OJ jury who apparently wanted OJ to be innocent so they believed what they wanted to believe and ignored the evidence. (Or else they were just easily duped)
Just so you are not confused, the issue I am talking about is the existence of the tech.
