Central Bankers are like the Alchemist, fervent believers in their ability and implicit understanding of "all things" economic.



Central Bankers act on what they believe.

I believe the more they intervene, the greater the unintended consequence in all markets.



You have your beliefs.

Everyone that thinks about economics forms views derived from the efforts.

Central Bankers and the Fed rigorously work to build econometric models that incorporate theoretical and empirical evidence to try and replicate the economy. They continuously revise and recursively tweak the models.

So who should we trust more?
