"Disclosing the good would be proof that he [Smith] is gone."  I suppose so, but I really don't know what anyone thinks would happen to all those shares he and the family owned, and those they still own.  They will not suddenly vaporize, nor have I seen any evidence that any of the players want to give up control of this vehicle.
