It takes a certain amount of heat to liquify and then gasify the plastic...instead of putting all that energy into one reactor the pre-melt does half the work now by liquifying the plastic. Same amount of energy consumption just split between two drums. get it? got it? good..conversation over...and if you don't believe me ask SAIC, Islechem and Rocktenn.
