herplacebytheriver- here's my opinion

herplace- I first started on the board in Mar 04, and I can tell you you're always better off doing your own DD no matter how much anyone likes anything. Not that Bobwins and Hweb aren't excellent, but if you blindly listen to anyone, you are less likely to do as well as you could. I found that the more DD I learned to do on my own, the better I made out. Thing is, everyone has their own investment styles- I mean- what kind of industries you feel comfortable with, how long you want to spend in a stock, how much volume you're OK with, what spreads you can handle, what balance sheets you feel comfortable with, what growth rates you want, how much risk you're comfortable with, etc. It's my opinion that without finding your own style and without thoroughly understanding why someone likes a stock, you are taking a much bigger risk no matter who you listen to. All IMO of course- Wade
